Τhe Kalamata Lyceum Club of Greek Women

Τhe Kalamata Lyceum Club of Greek Women was founded in 1967. Faithful to the vision of the pioneer of women's emancipation and founder of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women, Kallirroi Parren, the goal of the Club is the preservation of Greek tradition, the elevation and progress of Greek women.

Dance

The Kalamata Lyceum Club is dynamically involved in the instruction of Greek folk dancing in the field of learning traditional Greek dances.

The Choir

The women's traditional choir of the Kalamata Lyceum Club consists of 20 members, who are taught songs from all the geographical regions of the country with the greatest possible consistency to our traditional listening.

The Wardrobe

From the beginning of the operation of the Kalamata Lyceum Club, the main concern of its founding members was the creation of a remarkable wardrobe of local costumes and their presentation to the general public, mainly through the performances of the Lyceum dance team.

The Collection

The collection of Greek clothing "Victoria G. Karelia" was created by the founding member and for many years the President of the Kalamata Lyceum Club, V. Karelia, initially as a personal collection.
