1821-2021: “A bicentenary celebration with contemplation and dream”

The Kalamata Lyceum Club organized on 11 December 2021 an event to celebrate the bicentenary of the Greek War of Independence entitled 1821-2021: “A bicentenary celebration with contemplation and dream”. The event which was coordinated by Mrs Vicky Flessa, a state television (ERT) journalist, participated: the reverend Archimandrite Apostlos Kavaliotis, Post Doc. In Autism, Ph.D. med., Democritus University of Thrace, Director of the office of European network of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens), Mrs. Maria Efthymiou, Professor of History at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens), Mrs. Aikaterini Polymerou-Kamilaki (emeritus researcher, ex director of the Hellenic Folklore Research Centre of the Academy of Athens and member of the committee ‘Greece 2021’, president of the committee for the Handicraft οf the Ministry of Development), Mr. Meletios Meletopoulos, Ph.D. of the University of Geneva, principal of the Lyceum of Ionios school at Athens), Mr. Angelos Syrigos (Associate Professor of International Law and Foreign Policy at Panteion University, Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs) and Mr. Alexis Charitsis (Member of the Greek Parliament for Syriza of the Prefecture of Messenia, ex Minister of internal affairs). The event was presented on ERT television on 17 December in the show ‘Στα Άκρα΄
